Authentication Services

• My Poupette provides different types of authentication services to fit your needs. Has eBay ENDED your auction and you need proof that your item is authentic? We can help. Appraisals, Certificates of Authenticity, and Statements of Condition are also available. If you live near a boutique, it will sometimes authenticate your item(s) for free, however, it will typically not put its findings in writing, per corporate policy. This is primarily because people were switching authentic items for fake ones and using their letter as proof of authenticity. If you do not live near a retailer or want a written opinion of regarding authenticity, My Poupette can usually help. INSTRUCTIONS We can check eBay auctions, other web sites and your personal photos. Authentications may be done with detailed photographs or by sending the item to us via a method that will track receipt. Insurance is highly recommended. Sometimes the same method may be used for appraisals. There are some items that we recommend be shipped for personal inspection, as photos alone are often insufficient. We will let you know!   Online Authentication Requests

  Turnaround times are in Business Days. Do not count Sundays or Federal Holidays, which are in red in this calendar. Standard is 7 days; Rush is 5 days and Super Rush is 2 days. Same day service is available in most cases: Request must be submitted prior to 7 PM, PST. Please contact us using the Live Help chat button to request this service. Fee for Same Day is double the Rush Fee. Upcoming Federal Holidays IF ALL DATES APPEAR IN RED PLEASE REFRESH YOUR BROWSER WINDOW. WE ARE NEVER CLOSED AN ENTIRE MONTH. We often work weekends, but our posted turnaround times do not officially include holidays or weekends.   Service #16: Make Payment for Written Statements This is for a formal Written Statement that would be needed for a Paypal or other claim.

Notes:

Items shipped to My Poupette and in-person authentications that do not require a written statement are the fee stated, plus the cost of return shipping.

If you need a Written Certificate of Non-Authenticity, an additional$35 fee is required. You may also upgrade to a Certificate of Authenticity.

Official authentications will be in writing, which may be submitted to eBay, PayPal, insurance claims adjusters, insurance companies, credit card companies, Small Claims Courts, police departments, and other agencies. If your letter is for Small Claims Court, add $30 to have it notarized. All written statements are sent via email attachment. Original notarized letters will be sent by U.S. Priority Mail.

TIME REQUIRED FOR WRITTEN STATEMENTS

Standard Turnaround time: Allow 5-7 Business Days for us to render a written opinion statement.

Rush is within 3 Business Days.

Super Rush is within 48 hours (2 Business Days).

We also offer same-day service.

IF AN OPINION CANNOT BE RENDERED

We will notify you and return your item to you. A $25 service fee will be applicable, and the remainder will be returned to you. You will also receive a discount on your next request. Shipping charges will be due before item is returned.

DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATIONS

Our authentication service is based on having studied Louis Vuitton for more than 25 years, and other designers for more than seven years. We are not familiar with every item produced and will not render a written opinion if we are not at least 99% certain. By engaging our services, you acknowledge that we will take every precaution and make every effort to render an accurate opinion, however opinions rendered may be subject to a one percent error margin. You agree to hold us harmless for any loss associated with our written report.

PAYMENT METHODS

Payment for services is due prior to services rendered via AMAZON CHECKOUT, CHECK OR MONEY ORDER. Make check or money order payable to: My Poupette. Notify us via esupport @mypoupette.com if you are mailing your payment (delete extra space).
